'The Box'.
One day I saw a used cardboard box abandoned outside, and noticed it's process date and number written on the side as it lay on a bonfire ready to be burnt. The box seemed to be sending a metaphoric message about how we can place ourselves through life in boxes of our own making; so creating the illusion of constraint and limitation on ourselves. The box reminded me it does not have to be like this.

These two sets of triptychs acknowledge in sequence first that all life is in the process of change. Like the continuity of the seasons the 'process' will cycle round again, reminding us that the possibility of change is there for us all. It is just a matter of perspective, thinking 'outside' the box. For me, with this understanding comes knowledge, that the colours can return to create a new reality.
