23. 'CliffScape'
A study around the geology of rock formations, seen as a huge time capsule now exposed by the elements.
24. 'Pieces of the Puzzle' 1
Intangible feelings remembered, not only visually, but also in a tactile and olfactory way.
25. 'Pieces of the Puzzle' 2
26. 'Transformation' B
The ever changing nature of the seashore and it's environs, subtle yet steadfast, rhythmical, yet with slight of hand.
27. 'Cliffwalking', Lizard coastline
By de-constructing it's elements, hence the three primary colours together with fragmentary slicing and step like features, to gain a greater insight and appreciation of that experience.
28. 'Beachcombing' 1 study
29. 'Beachcombing' 2
Probably where it all began creatively for me as a child. The fun of exploration and discovery along the seashore. The collection of flotsam and jetsam together with bucketfuls of natural things, things of no use. Objects that often were so worn and misshaped that they lost their original identity. I remembered the joy exploring their different characteristics, all of which must have had a profound effect in later years, especially in my ceramics. It all now seems one homogenous picture in my mind.
30. 'Towards Dusk'
